Infineon Technologies has introduced the PSoC™ 4100T Plus, a next-generation 32-bit microcontroller that integrates ultra-low-power capacitive sensing with system control, offering an efficient and compact solution for modern embedded applications such as human-machine interfaces (HMIs), touch-based controls, and gesture detection.
Smarter Touch, Lower Power
Traditional touch sensing solutions often require external components or consume high power during operation. The PSoC 4100T Plus addresses these limitations by embedding capacitive sensing directly into the MCU architecture. Built on a 48-MHz Arm® Cortex®-M0+ core, the device balances performance and efficiency, supporting a wide input voltage range and multiple power modes—including deep sleep—for energy-conscious designs.
Its integrated CapSense® technology enables reliable touch and proximity detection while consuming as little as 8 µA in low-power mode. This makes it ideal for wearable devices, battery-operated gadgets, and other applications where both responsiveness and long battery life are critical.

The MCU features a rich set of on-chip peripherals including ADCs, timers, serial communication interfaces, and configurable GPIOs.
